Diarrhea is characterized by loose, watery stools or the frequent need to visit the restroom. It usually lasts a few days and often disappears without any treatment. Diarrhea can be acute or chronic, and most adults experience some form of diarrhea every year. Diarrhea can be a result of a parasite, bacteria, virus, or indigestible food that the body tries to get rid of.
A lot of times, foods can be a cause of diarrhea and this is because of the high amounts of artificial ingredients, oils, spices, or stimulants. Most people have food allergies that often result in having diarrhea, but the following must be completely avoided if you're intolerant, or allergic and should be taken in minimal quantities to avoid a day of embarrassment...lol
Spicy seasoning: spicy seasoning is perhaps the most common source of food-induced diarrhea, especially if it’s a strong spice that you’re not used to. It irritates the stomach lining while it gets digested. chili peppers and curry blends are common causes.
Artificial sweeteners: They disrupt the biology of the lower intestinal tract, So it’s not surprising that eating food with artificial sweeteners in it causes a lot of people to have diarrhea.
Milk: If you find yourself running tp the bathroom after taking milk, this means you're lactose intolerant ( inability of the enzymes to break down milk sugar) thus leaving it indigestible so your body removes it immediately, often in form of diarrhea
Garlic and Onions: Both are extremely high in insoluble fiber. They also contain juices that, when broken down by the acid in your stomach, can release gases that irritate the bowels. This is why we have friends who tell you not to slice onions or garlic into their foods...they are not aliens, bear with them.
Fast Food: They contain high amounts of saturated fats and there's little or no nutritional value in them.
When you have diarrhea, remember to drink water( 8-10 glasses). Resist the urge to starve yourself until it ends. While at it, avoid huge calorie-dense meals so you don't go through another round of loose stools
Diarrhea can be acute or chronic, so if it persists, visit a clinic near you...
Why haven't we close fast food stores till now? Some of them do not observe hygiene protocols. One has to be careful.
